100th Anniversary Celebration Information:

Dear Friend of Beaverdam Christian School ,

 In September of 1909, BCS began its journey as a Christian day school to educate the area children.  Through many years of challenges and years of prosperity, God has been faithful and has blessed us in so many ways.  The school has been a mainstay of the Beaverdam area through numerous wars, a great depression, and three different school buildings. You have probably been a part of that journey.  And now, in September of 2008, we have begun our 100th school year!  To God be all the glory!

 Throughout this school year, we have numerous events planned.  We also had a number of special events planned for the school children during the 100th school day.  We also have two events planned for current students, supporters, alumni and their families:

 1)       April 30, 2009 at 7:00 PM – Program to be held at Beaverdam Christian Reformed Church.  This program will consist primarily of a ‘home’ talent night.  Expect some exciting musical acts from the children, as well as any of the alumni that would like to showcase their talents!  If you are interested in performing in some way, please contact the school at (616) 875-8340 by the end of February, 2009.

2)       June 6, 2009, beginning at 3:00 PM – we will have a celebration/reunion and pork dinner at the School.  This will mark the end of the 100th year!  Come and reminisce with some of your previous classmates!  Dinner will be served from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Also on this day, we will be holding an old fashioned pie bake-off.  So bake your favorite pie, and bring it in to be judged against all others!

3)       An anniversary booklet will be made available during the summer of 2009 that will include all class graduation pictures, school history, and alumni memories.  There will also be commemorative T-shirts available the day of the celebration.
