Beaverdam Blessing: by Mrs.  Miedema: Blessings….were you blessed when you read about your children blessing us?  It is true.  Your child(ren) blessed us every day.  We hope you felt blessed too.  We thank God for this past year of blessings. We thank Him for an overall healthy year.  We thank Him for our school where we can learn about Him. We thank Him for our school “families” who have gotten to know us and love us.  We thank Him for the continued support of our community.  We thank Him for so many blessings…so many blessing.  We, as the Beaverdam Christian School teachers and staff, hope you have a wonderful summer.  We can’t wait to hear about all the blessings you’ve experienced over the months apart.  May your eyes be opened to His blessings!

SUMMER SCHOOL

Mrs. Buursma, Mrs. Johnston (our new paraprofessional in the Resource Room), and Mrs. Cooke will be offering Summer School for those who are interested.  We will take a two week break after school is over, and offer sessions from June 23-July 30 on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Please call the school office to let them know which day works best for you. We will give you a call to figure out exact times/dates, and to let you know with whom your child will be working.  Thank you!!!

LOST AND FOUND

Somehow, we have an extra towel from Science Camp.  It is a light green “Boutique” brand towel.  It is on the lost and found table.  If you are missing anything from this year, please check the lost and found table.  It is abundantly full!!

Lost: Mark VanderWal cannot find his dark blue “ Walters Gardens ” jacket from the D.C. trip.  If you find it, please let him know.

THANK YOU

Thank you to all who have helped with getting meals to the VanRijs’ family.  They were very much appreciated.  Pete is done with his daily treatments and is now doing 3 shots a month at home.  He is hoping to go back to work soon.  Please continue to pray for their family.  Thank you.  Kathy Graveling

REGISTRATION

If you haven’t turned in your registration for next year, please mail that to school as soon as possible.  There will be extra copies available in the office the night of the chicken B.B.Q. if you need one.

PLEASE HELP

Eighth grade parents please do one more good and helpful thing and return your Family Exit Surveys to school as soon as possible.  These are great tools for us to use to grow our school into what God would want us to be.

FAIR SIGN-UPS AND NEEDS

Fair sign –up sheets will be posted soon in the hallway by the kitchen.  Each family is asked to work 6 shifts.  You may ask family and/or friends to help you with your shifts as long as they are 15 years of age or older.  Just put your initials behind their name so we know whose shift they are covering.

Pie sign-up is located on the same sheets as the shift sign ups.  We are in need of many pies.  We lost one of our largest pie donors in the last year. This person often donated a dozen or more pies for the fair.  Please ask family or friends if they would be willing to donate a pie(s), too.  Pies may be brought to the fair booth or may be brought to school by 10 A.M. during fair week.  If you have any questions, please call LeAnn at 875-6152.

Potato Salad coordinators, please contact Patti Brander and let her know what days you are planning on for fair week.

One last thing, the fair building at a minimum needs to have the doors replaced before June 7.  If you are willing to help out with more than this, the flaps need to be repaired as well.  This can be done anytime before fair week.  I am unable to monetarily pay you, but I will forever be in your debt.  The cost of supplies will be covered.  I know who you all are.  Please don’t make me call and beg.   If you have any questions, please call Patti at 292-6833.

Thanks for helping out with this big fundraiser that keeps our tuition down.

SUMMER SOCCER

All future 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students are invited to come to school to play soccer on Tuesday and Thursday nights beginning July 8.  We begin at 6:30 and end around 8:00.  If you have any questions, call Coach Tom Steenwyk at 669-7452.
